Why do local P C T's deny that childhood obesity needs help that isnt surgery ?? my son applied two yrs ago for a camp which would be more beneficial to him( given his problems with food ..due to illness when younger he is terrified that fruit and veg will cause him extreme pain again as previously and hates the taste on his tongue of any of them except potato) that surgery to be told by the PCT that he could have surgery but not the camp but then we were informed that he was too young at 14 so he couldnt have this either ( not that i would of agreed given his young growing body) ,WHY DO LOCAL PCT'S IGNORE THE BENEFIT OF CAMPS AND COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY ?? given my son,s father died of a heart attack at 43 you would of thought that it would of been important but why does he have to wait till he is 18 before anything is done to help him we have tried to but nothing from the pct is forthcoming.

Have you tried traditional chinese medicine or a homeopath. They will treat the cause of the deiease and not just the symptoms of this particular attack. Good luck it not a very nice condition to have and it's very contagious.

I scored 11. Not sure where that puts me! I struggle in social situations as I suffer from server anxiety. I have no confidence which is sad for me personally as I used to be a very out going happy person but one day I had a panic attack that lasted a week! Since then iv learnt to live with them but it has changed my life dramatically!

type 1 diabetes is whats called an autoimmune disease so it has nothing to do with your weight, basically an illness of some kind has caused your body to attack the cells in the pancreas causing you to stop producing insulin, theres a good support group on facebook (diabetes uk) and you can ask any questions on there :) good luck

To be honest evrything the doctors prescribed me in the last 12 yrs of my life (when I was born to now) has never worked just made it inflamed and infected I have it all over my legs and around the back of my heels and it hurts a lot I stick with long pants because I have low selfasteem and confidence but when I had an asthma attack earlier this year and was rushed to hospital they prescribed me prednisolone tablets and they helped my asthma and eczema a lot so now when I get my next get a consultation I am going to ask my doctor prescribes me these x hugs for all my fellow sufferers x

My 6 year old son gets croup, he had it quite often as a baby and now even though he has it less frequent as he gets older, it is often very bad and needs hospital care. It happens in the night 99% of the time and I have tried the steam thing and we found it made it worse, now i ALWAYS wrap him up warm and take him outside to breathe the cool air. In doing this it has saved us many times from hospital and has also taken his mind off the 'attack' and calming him down(helps him stop panicing). I've been told he will grow out of it but luckily as he's grown older he recognises the signs and tells me before his croup gets quite bad. Basically, if your child suffers with croup, try this! Wrap them up warm and take them outside to breathe the cool air, it may or may not work but it is well worth trying it, i rely on it EVERYTIME now. We go out the garden looking for bugs, takes his mind right off it! Good luck everyone x x x

I scored a 42, does this mean I have autism/Asperger's? My sister, who used to work with autism/Asperger's children sometimes tells me I have Asperger's but my mom always told me it was because I am really smart and good at school and though she wasn't bad nessicerily she hated it. I have also taken an anxiety test and scored moderate on that, are they related? I will be 13 in a month if that makes any difference. I've had an anxiety attack about a month ago and my mother used to have them all the time. My brother tells me that I'm ADD because I'm constantly distracted. Also once my mother, brother, and I were having a conversation about if I was autistic and my mother and I had moved on and were talking about something else while my brother just kept saying " Are you sure she's not autistic?" over and over again. Does having the inability to type correctly affect it too? I also believe I may have mild dyslexia or a common disorder. I have a strange obsession with mental disorders (e.t. schizophrenia) and Greek Mythology. Does this all relate or am I just crazy???

I took other autism/Asperger's tests and scored high in those too.

    Scratch that I got a 44, not a 42.

Hi! My son, 4,5, had severe eczema. I've tried many medicines for him, including steroid creams and the steroid cream as far as i concern only made his eczema wider and wider. Since 2 weeks ago i started giving him black seed oil, dringking and wipe on his head and on his skin where the eczema so bad.At the beginning, his skin head became terribly dry and some areas even bleeding. Then i found out in internet that is was normal as a first reaction (detocsification) of black seed oil. Now his skin head getting a lot better. The detofsification seem "attack" her hand skin, the eczema in there look so bad with all the bubbles in the skin. If you want to try the black seed oil (drink and put on her skin) pls dont be surprise if at the beginning your child skin will look worst because from what i know is only show us that the oil black seed start to work.

I am 16, I have had this for over a year now since I was attacked in may 2011. It started off being scared to leave the house incase I was attacked, I would have panic attacks when it came to leaving the house and as well the being sick/gagging and having diahrea. This has caused me to be behind on school work when I was in my GCSC's which really affected my Geography, (ended up with an E) At one point I stopped eating in fear that it would make me ill whilst I was out and not being able to get to a toilet in time. Doctor then diagnosed me with IBS, anxiety and depression. I got so scared that I would sit there and cry my eyes out it aganising pain. Mum would get upset because I was "ill" then I would get even more worked up because I was being nagged at for not leaving the house. I ended up getting into a routine of going to the toilet 2-3 times before I left for anywhere and somehow that eased the fear but if I didn't go then I would be anxious all day. I don't feel as if there is anyone I can talk to I've tried counsilling but it doesn't help they talk about something completely different. I've just searched this topic as I've just had a recent attack of it before school and I'm fed up of it affecting my life. I want help that will work:(
