Conditions with symptom: 'bent feet'
Yes, I was 35 and went down with HFMD. I caught it of my nephew who was just over 2 years old. Luckily I didn't have any sores in my mouth or around my face, I just hand really sore hands and feet with nasty blisters and the bottom of my feet wen bright red and then black and remained like that until the skin all peeled off. Since then I have ad really dry feet but surprisingly my brother and sister in law, mother and father, partner no any of my sister in laws family contracted it and they all had close contact at the time. My Docotr had never seen a case so bad in an adult he actually took photos of my hands and feet.
Hi, my little girls ankles bend inwards as her mum has the same problem but her feet never got sorted and now she walks nearly in the inside of her ankles and am worried if I dont get help for my little girl her feet will end up like her mums. Please help! As they seem to b getting worse! Thanks
You should try to tell her what shes doing and either give her punishment or straighten her feet when you see her walking like that, every time she walks correctly give her a sticker or treat.

My son is also 13 months and has intoe which come from a twist in the bone from the knee to the ankle. this was picked up by the pediatrician at his 6 weeks check up. He was referred to a physio who he has been seeing ever since. I was given exercises to stretch his feet and try to correct them. He took his first steps at 10months and is now walking very well albeit he does trip more than the average toddler due to his feet. I saw the physio again yesterday who said she is very happy with him and thinks the exercises have really helped him. She also said sometimes with intoe there can also be a tension in the muscles which is causing in which requires a different type of treatment. Your GP should have referred you to a physio as the normal "wont refer until 18 months for not walking" does not apply when they have intoe. I have been told that it is very common and usually corrects itself by the age of 4, but I believe if we hadn't have been doing the exercises for all these months, he may not be walking so well if at all.
I'm 13 and I've got about 10 verrucas on my feet and they're quite painful, what should I try?
Try duct tape that you get in a hardware shop put it on the verrucaes for 3 days then leave it off for 2 days that's what I was told to do in a&e it took about 3 weeks to clear them completely
please can someone help my daughter has many verucas on her feet and despite numerous trips to the doctors , no change i am at my wits end
My 6 year old daughter has smelly armpits too! She also has EXTREMELY sweaty feet too and has done since she was about 3. Our GP has prescribed a roll on deodorant for her feet that is safe for use on other body parts such as underarms. I encourage her to wash thoroughly under her arms twice a day. The thing is she is a naturally very warm person. I would personally not be too concerned. If she starts developing signs such as pubic hair, breast development then it could be a sign of ver early puberty. precocious (early) puberty can can start at around 8 in girls but as early as 6 in some cases. If you are very worried I would see your GP but if it is just the Smelly sweat, I would not be overly concerned. If it is embarrassing for her I would go to boots and enquire about a mild and gentle roll on deodorant suitable for a child's skin, there are none marketed for children but finding one for very sensitive skin may be an idea. I encourage my daughter to use a small amount during the hot weather months. At the end of the day, if you are at all worried se you GP. Your little girl is not alone and it is comforting to know my littl1 is not alone too.
Hello - i am 14 and a girl. On my feet there are flat circles that dent into my sin , they are small and rock hard, they have been there for 3 years andnot moved . They are not contagus. What do I have?
My son is 5 years 4 months old and has wallked on his tip toes since he has started to walk. We mentioned it to the doctor and he said he will grow out of it. We asked again at 3 and have kept asking and the doctor never really looked at him properly just kept saying he would grow out of it despite me saying that it's not that he won't put his feet down it's that he can't. When we moved home we had to change doctors and I tried again and the new doctor agreed there seemed to be a problem and reffered us. We saw the specialist in the week this program including tip toe walking was aired and were asked why my son hadn't been seen sooner. I was told he was an herbitual Toe walker and that the tendans in his legs were too short and what I thought was going to be an assesment ended in my sons legs both being put in casts to stretch the tendans which in 4 weeks will be removed and another put on to position the feet even further back. This has caused him quiet a bit of distress and time off school and not being able to play in the playground and do PE. If this had been noted when we first asked about it he may not have had to go through this and could possibly of had physio or special shoes and not have had it be such an ordeal for him, so my question is why if this is a known problem was it not really looked into and dismissed as something he will grow out of? Shouldn't there be a referal when this is brought up incase it is one of the 3 causes that were mentioned in the programme?
I know how you feel, my son is 6 and having his casts on next week. He was seem twice by a physio under the age of 3 but I was told he'd grow out of it. I wasn't given any exercises to do, even though 30 years ago when I tiptoed I had regular exercises and had stopped by school age. It was me had queried it again this year as his calves are very defined and the problem hasn't gone away. I'm feeling a bit aprehensive as I'm not sure how he will adapt and feel awful that he may suffer any pain. we've also been told that he could end up having 3 cycles of casts plus shoes at the end, the hard bit is making him understand as he likes to tiptoe. I agree that it should be assessed properly and follow up visits. I hope your son is doing well now
My 12 year old daughter has what look like small white rings with holes in the middle on the soles of her feet and some between her toes. She has over 20 of these. We have been to the doctors and had 2 different opinions! Please can anyone advise us. Many thanks
