Its only smegma, nothing too serious, just make sure he cleans his penis (the head also), wiping the discharge off with his finger or a cloth, it doesn't matter. Try to get him to do this at least 3 times a week and hopefully there should be a good improvement.

Hi I'm a mom of an 8 yr old boy. Of course you must wash his private parts, he's to small to do it alone! Who will eliminate the extra soap for him? If you feel akward, try to teach him to do it on his own, not before he's 5 or 6 anyways, little boys aren't great washers!

It would be good to. The quicker he/she gets checked, the quicker they'll be able to get extra support if they do have it. It can help a lot, my brother being an example

Boys are easily attracted to fiddling with their "groin" area and I would encourage anything to divert attention away from such areas. Effective washing is of course essential. Think to yourself - what would I do if he hurt his finger and adopt a similar solution for his penis! Agreed keep an eye but don't fuss.

Hi my 2 year old has had a wart on her finger for over a year now. Initially she picked it and apart from bleeding a lot it appeared to go away, unfortunately it has now returned. She won't allow me to touch it so the duct tape option is looking unlikely as I can see her letting me pumice stone it even if I can get her to let me duct tape it. What are my other options bearing mind she is nearly 3?

I was born with an extra finger on each of my little fingers, but my parents told me it was removed when I was a baby. However the stump is still very visible and most of my friends in school think it's cool that I have six fingers. Even though my extra finger may not be as visible as that of other people. I appreciate that there is something different about me.

My child has a extra thumb also & the doc. told me that they'll look at it again at 6 months of birth to see which finger is dominant. He said that infants doesn't start to write until the age of 2. We will probably have his removed at age 1 if the doc. is ready to to so.

This is pinworm. Pinworms come out at night and lay eggs on the outside of your bum, then go back in. What you absolutely have to do is go to the doctor, get a tablet that you take one time, then wash ALL your clothes, sheets, towels (housewide) in hot water. then take care to never put your fingers in your mouth or share straws/spoons etc. It's gross and embarrassing but not dangerous.

I understand how you feel, i am 13 and have 3 warts on my hands one on each thumb and one on my left hand's middle finger. But that is not all because i also have about 30 veruca's on my feet they are all so so so so annyoing and i've tried cream, freezing, doctors and im in the process of the tape methode, my middle finger's one is slowley dissapearing but the other two......i feel like giving up but i know that i have to persist with it to remove them.

I've had a wart on my right hand on my index finger, i've had it for 5 years now, i'm 17 and it's embarressing. at first it was just a small wart about the size of a seed and now it's has increased to what looks like about 10 seed looking warts in one space creating a massive one. A few others have spread to the other side of that finger, 2 of my knuckles and the top of my thumb, i suck my thumb and i know this isn't helping at all. they won't go, i had tried everything from using duct tape - to freezing - to filing it. nothing is working and i don't know what to do! my doctor just says it'll go eventually but i am getting sick of them now. Please help me!

Hi - I was born with club foot on my right side. I had many operations as a child, some more successful than others. I am 37 now and don't really suffer any pain but I do find it really difficult to find shoes that fit, support me properly and look remotely stylish. Vain I know. Since being a child I have bought most of my shoes from Clarks as they do an "odd shoe scheme". For adults this means that they will sell you an odd sized pair of shoes but they charge you full price plus 50%. My smaller foot is also quite wide so the fact that they do a wider fitting ion some styles also helps. I do resent the 50% extra but it does work out cheaper than buying 2 pairs and throwing an odd pair away! For children it used to be only an extra 25% but I don't know if that is still the case. If anyone reading is female and happens to have a left foot size 3.5 and a right foot 5.5 (opposite to me!) then please let me know as we might be able to help each other out!

I'm just wondering if your parents ever met another family when you were little and exchanged shoes when you were younger as we met another family and would be good to get in contact to see how each other are doing.

my son has just had an extra thumb removed. the doctor was fab (once we'd finally been refered to the correct department). my son is 3 and would still be on the waiting list unless i had complained to my my that we have been waiting to get this removed for over 3 years. i recommend demanding to speak to a plastic surgeon straight away and getting your mp involved as soon as possible or it could take a long time for the nhs to 'get around' to the surgery as it's not a priority for them. but as a mother it is for me as i wanted it done before my son starts full time school as i don't want him taking time off for a cosmetic procedure

I think I would want the extra digit removed. Kids will tease them.

Hi Catherine. Attention seeking. You were right to take no action. Nothing to worry about at aged two. Think about how you would react if he said "Mummy my finger hurts...". Take care.

i have an extra pinky on each hand and it doesnt bother me or my friends some of they think its weird but like touching it
