How old is she? If she is under six months and not showing any signs of distress or any other symptoms such as a fever or fussiness for no reason then it's probably baby acne but take her to a gp or walk in centre to rule out something more serious

make sure you have an inhaler for him or her and try to make sure he or she has a lot of rest

I am 23 years old and suffering with chicken pox. I know it is a lot worse for adults than children but there is no information online as to what is 'normal' for adults. I'm on day 6 over all but day 4 of having actual spots. Day 2 and 3 of the having spots were the worst. I had an incredibly high fever, sore throat to the point were I couldn't swallow anything and anything i did manage to her down I kept bringing up. I slept most of the time but it was an unrested sleep. I felt horrendous but didn't know if this is what it is normally like or was I at the bad scale. There's just no information. If it wasn't a bank holiday I would have phoned the doc just to get some reassurance. I woke up feeling much better today albeit still with a slight fever, sore throat, head and neck ache and itchy as hell. But not nearly as bad as yesterday. My spots looked worse when i woke up but arestarting to clear very slowly but II'm worried about infection in some as they do not look right, red, raw and yellow/green. I suppose I will have to ring the doc about that tomorrow.

I don't think worm infections usually cause vomitting, you can see the usual symptoms on http://www.combantrin.com.au and http://www.wormmedication.com If I was you and my baby had a fever I would go to the doctor asap. Good Luck

Curious to know how you got on. I suspect you may have caught recurring fever which is in the Lyme s disease family. It to is caught from tick bites.

I think she may have glu ear. This is common in children and they should grow out of it. Go to the doctors and they well double check and give you some medicine. It shouldn't effect her hearing when she is older.

My daughter is seven, she has blood in her urine, itchy vagina, fever, sickness and headaches. Her blood is 8.6. Cloudy urine too. The doctors have given her antibiotics. Should I be asking for more tests to be done? Thank you

My daughter has recurring conjuntivitus, swollen sore watery eyes. She's been seen in an emergency eye clinic. The said her eyes are healthy, and they think the eye area goes bad due to a type of eczema, because she also has dandruff , and eczema on her ears. She is 9years old and suffers from eczema, allergies, hay fever and mild peanut allergy. Please can you give advise, this has been going on for over a year and we are concerned as parents.

My daughter had this - her cheeks started becoming red and hot on the Friday and by the Monday the rash was beginning to appear further down her body. At the end of the first week she was rashy head to toe - her legs being the worst affected. The rash lasted 2 weeks, disappeared and reappeared after a week for a further 2 weeks! Her school were non too keen for her to attend even though she was contagious before the rash even appeared! I just wonder how you can tell the difference between this ans scarlet fever as both appear to be similar?

Meg, thanks for your reply to my question. I'd love any further info you can give me. My child had a positive result to a blood test for Lymes approx 7 months ago but the test has been repeated since and come back negative. There is confusion because doctors think he may have had Glandular fever too, although 2 separate blood tests for that have come back negative. Is there anything else I can do or should be asking for? The heart conditions sound worrying, any more info on those?

Hello! My 2.6 yrs old boy has had 4-5 UTIs in the last 6 months. He was prescribed different antibiotics and he improves but in two or three weeks after the course the symptoms come back. At the moment he has UTI-like sypmtoms-fever, loss of apetit and pain when passing urine but his urine looks fine- no unusual smell or colour, not cloudy or dark. His penis looks normal too-no soreness or redness or discharges. He has had a kidney scan and results were normal. Now he is waiting to be seen by an urologist. How can I help him meanwhile. P.S. 3 weeks ago with the same symptoms his urine sample was negative for infection. And his foreskin is not retaracted.

I really wasnt aware i had chickenpox untilI I woke up on Monday and see my face covered with blisters as i just thought i had a viral infection as viral infections were something i used to get alot as a child. Today is now the fourth day of having chickenpox and im not itchy and i feel better. Calamine lotion and cotton wool helped me stop itchying. im no longer feeling sick and im eating much better.

My daughter has exactly the same thing. She also had fever and was in so much pain. Antibiotics were not working. After numerous visits to the doctors ,blood tests and mouth swabs it was confirmed she had a nasty virus called gingivostomatitis. It was a 10 day contagious virus. Only contagious through saliva. So if you share cups, kiss etc. perhaps this is what your child had. Might be Worthing reading up about it cause doctors said once they have this they are then very prone to getting cold sores and mouth ulcers from here on. This all happened back in January 2014 and now (March 2014) we have had her on medication for more ulcers but they have cleared up quickly.

My 6 year old son has autism. He has always walked with a normal heel-toe gait. However he has on the very odd occasion about twice in his lifetime suddenly started toe walking. Once on both feet and once on one foot. He came down with flu on Xmas day, had fever and all other flu symptom. Then when he woke on sat 29th dec he was unable to walk properly. High on both tiptoes. Saying legs hurt. Knees hurt. Very upset all day. Crawled at one point. We put it down to flu aches and pains and autistic trait due to a "sensory day". It's now 1st jan and its improved but not gone and seems to worsen at times. He is really struggling. I don't believe it has anything to do with his autism. It's too sudden and not common for my son. After looking online I found info about benign acute childhood myosotis which was very interesting. Could this be a possibility?

Your exact conditions appeared on my 4 year old boy. Same time, same flu symptoms and same suddenness. He crawled out of his bed today and has had similar conditions in the last 2 days. He's been diagnosed with a mild autism. The only difference is he's been tippy toeing for quite a while. Please share anything that helps. I will schedule a Doctor's appointment and will follow up. Casting of his feet has been suggested to help with the tippy toeing.

Following on from my previous comment on 1/1/13. We ended up phoning NHS direct at 1am on 2/1/13 as my son's issue with his left leg worsed. He could not move, sit, stand or walk and was in a lot of pain. They advised us to go to out of hours GP. To cut long story short they were worried that he may have an infection in hip joint which would mean emergency surgery. Had Xrays and blood tests which were all clear. Had ultrasound which showed fluid on his hip. Alarm bells! Then had MRI scan under general anasthetic to see where fluid coming from and rule out infection. Lots of investigation from bone specialists etc, the outcome was this. He had 'benign reactive arthritis' which was brought on by his flu virus. Google it. It's quite common. A temporary thing that rights itself after a period of time. All to do with immune system. My son has fully recovered and is walking fine. Going for check up in few weeks. Hope this helps. Kelly.
