Hi Hazel. There are many much older boys who still have tight foreskins. They sort it out eventually and have no problems. I wouldn't put him under pressure. Keep the area clean and do anything to avoid it getting inflamed. He is still very young. Hope this helps.

There are creams that may state for children but still contain ingredients that irritate her skin. Everyone, & every child's skin is different. You can do an allergy test to find out what's triggering the eczema, or a patch test to see what ingredients in moisturizer she's allergic to. Burning skin is not that common, so may have to see specialist (PD in child dermatology) if condition persist. Meantime, a hypoallergenics authority has answered some of my questions on sensitive skin product on eczemablues.com, some of the answers should help.

when i was washing my 2 year olds penis i only slightly pull the skin back to splash with water whilst in bath to keep clean, when i only slightly pull it back he's getting looks like puss filled glands,i noticed it one day because his penis looked twice its normal size so when i pulled skin back and put slight pressure on the penis alot of green puss came out, this doesnt hurt him, it leaves a little hole where it was, then five other times the puss is like hard and you can see it under his skin i leave i it comes out weeks later like a hard white stork, like a wite head thats gone hard but its ling like a vein but white and is visable from the outside of his skin, ive taken him to 2 nurses and they just say its infection and one doctor said it was scum build up, h's got 2 now they've been there for 2 weeks now its hard to touch i can see and feel the ridge under his skin, when i pull his skin back it lookes like a white head at the side of the head between the head and the skin. can you shed any light on this.

My son is 5 years old and he is biting the skin around his nails all the way down his fingers... He used to just bite his nails and then stopped that for awhile but now he started again and its the skin all the way down his finger.. I have tried asking him why he does it and he just tells me he cant help it.. I have also tried putting bandaides on all fingers but he takes them off.. I have tried putting soap and hot sauce on them but he just eats right through it.. He was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD when he was 4 so I dont know if that has anything to do with it.. My question is what can I do to get him to stop before he has no skin at all?? his fingers are already raw and red and they look bad.. I really need help because i dont know what to do anymore.

My two year old girl has a loss bit of skin on her bum she has had it since she has been born but she has always got a sore bum all the time iv taken her to the doctors but they dont look at her they just give my cream he bum is never right..... Please help me

Yes! Scabies is very contagious! Sometimes you can catch it from just touching the clothing or bed covers of someone who is infected. It's best to wash all clothing and bed covers immediately, and above 50C to kill off the mites.

Sores on skin ? My 8 year old brother has been suffering very bad eczema since he has been born. At the moment he has very flakey skin with some areas very red and sore. It seems as though that some of the areas are so infected there are patches of pus some areas are cracked and have bled. He has had these problems before and his skin tends to flair up very easily. He has been to the doctors many times and have been given creams such as hydrocortisone to fungal creams and nothing has worked. He suffers with hayfever and has asthma . Me and my family are desperate for some advice as we seem to be creaming him every hour on the hour when hes at home from school and yet nothing seems to be working.

hi my son has exma aswell you`ll need to get some antibiotic to clear infection first then start creaming body all the time and i get some fluocinolone for bad bits than epaderm for puting on all the time you can all so put it in bath and for the asthma ask your docter for singulair paediatric chewable tablets works brillent for my son

Dont be afraid to keep asking the doctor to try him on different creams/ lotions, they suit people differently. I am now 39 and have used lots of different creams and bath oils in my time, I now use Aveeno lotion and bath/shower oil both with colodial oatmeal, so you could give it a try, get it prescribed by your doctor or you can buy it at Boots etc., . I also only recently found out that my itchy scalp was the cause of my face and neck flaring up, so the doctor gave me a steriod for my scalp and its woked miracles. So keep trying until you find something that controls it.

Hi I'm 36 years old and I've been biting the skin around my fingers for as long as I can remember. It's not all the time that I do it, if my nails look nice then I don't do it as much. At the moment most of my fingers are red, inflamed and really sore. I don't know how to stope myself doing it, is there anything I can buy to put on my skin to stop me biting them

Hi michelle I've personally had eczema from a very young age and have helped reduce the irritation by changing my diet. I found that eating ready meals (with all their preservatives) and spicy foods are very bad for my skin also drinking fizzy drinks like coke also bring out the eczema, but worst of all if I chop a tomato or lemon without gloves the skin becomes inflamed and highly irritated! So with all this in mind please make sure your daughter steers clear from heavily spiced or packaged food as it sounds like her case is very extreme. I would also recommend trying homeopathy and hemp creams which cool the irritated skin dramatically! hope I could help! X

A woman informed me that she used our seaweed lotion on her daughters mc and completely gone in ten weeks also cleared it from the son as it appeared and treated earlier. I do not know what prompted her to use Caraderm on this condition but it worked and the images can be seen on the website caradermskincare.com All natural ingredients the lotion was primarily aimed at itchy inflamed skin

I have had Dermatitis on the back of my ankles and on my left arm I tried everything , Doctors were not much help gave me the normal creams , in the end i found that E45 anti itch cream works ,but even cheaper and helps to relieve the problem,is Cyder vinegar it stops the itching ,and cyder vinegar with green tea helps inflamed skin, they really do work when using green tea make about half mug and leave tea bag in for a fair time so that it is a strongbrew add cyder vinegar and bath area with cotton wool soaked in solution,

Hi Catherine. Attention seeking. You were right to take no action. Nothing to worry about at aged two. Think about how you would react if he said "Mummy my finger hurts...". Take care.

I read that applying comvita manuka honey works so I bought some from Boots (£26!). Have been using it for about a month and now some of the spots have got red and inflamed. It seems to be speeding up the process but is it a good sign that the spots are scabbing over even if they are uncomfortable? Has anyone else had any success with this treatment?

Mate you have the EXACT same problem as me. As for the white bits, that is a result of not properly cleaning the head and under the foreskin. I have tried to stretch the bit that stops the foreskin from being pulled back, and if you do it over time in seems to work. So please talk to your doctor or your parents so they can help you out. There is nothing wrong with you, as it is quite normal. but if you do not pull the foreskin back after cleaning, you can get it stuck and end up with a paraphimosis. Good look mate!

As far as i can see that is a normal thing. All because the skin is flexible and if u pull enough u can see the skin after the head and that skin is a lot thinner than the other. U dont need to be nervous because that is normal and is the common place. About the pain, if u strech the skin too much is usual to hurt (it happens anywere in the body, try it out)... if u dont stretch it too much and it keeps hurting u shoud go to a doctor to see if there is anything more complicated. Hope this helped.

My son has had this for about 8 months. He had one spot on his arm, the Dr said to leave alone ... Then a few more apeared. I ordered molludab (£20) which seemed to be working as spots got red and inflamed... Then nothing! Then I noticed he had a couple on his torso so read up and heard some good things about zymaderm(£20!) I have been using that for about 2 weeks now and the spots have come out in force! He must have around 15 on his torso now... Has anyone else had this? Now I don't know what to so as it seems this treatment is making it worse!

Hi! My son, 4,5, had severe eczema. I've tried many medicines for him, including steroid creams and the steroid cream as far as i concern only made his eczema wider and wider. Since 2 weeks ago i started giving him black seed oil, dringking and wipe on his head and on his skin where the eczema so bad.At the beginning, his skin head became terribly dry and some areas even bleeding. Then i found out in internet that is was normal as a first reaction (detocsification) of black seed oil. Now his skin head getting a lot better. The detofsification seem "attack" her hand skin, the eczema in there look so bad with all the bubbles in the skin. If you want to try the black seed oil (drink and put on her skin) pls dont be surprise if at the beginning your child skin will look worst because from what i know is only show us that the oil black seed start to work.

hi im 14 and ive had a tight foreskin since i was little when i got into high school i was told about masturbation by a friend and i should do it. i thought that tight skin was normal at first because i could not see the head i keep on masturbating for some months then my head was coming out, so i was thinking soon if i keep pulling on the skin whilst masturbating the whole head will show but sometimes i ripped the skin of a little bit from the head i know this sound bad but it healed after a day and i was fine nothing wrong but right now the skin is almost over the head could you give me any advice?

try stretching the skin before you get erect. also make sure you dont masturbate dry. use lotion. it is important to get the head all the way out.

My daughter age 12 has CM on the back of her thigh, she has had this for around 6 months, we have been told to leave them alone info given by dr which says they should not be itchy or painful, although they are both and becoming very angry and inflamed. in the last week they have spead down her leg onto her other leg and now has a spot appeared on her neck (hoping this is not another one!), my neighbour has lots of old remedies so currently we are trying 'epsom salts' from chemist mixed with 'glycerine' to form a paste, this is placed on lint and covered so the spot cannot breath - this should draw out any infection, lets hope! will keep you posted!

Try a Qtip with vaseline on it and run it under the skin on top of the glans to clean the underside and lubricate it so you can gradually stretch the skin without difficulty or pain after about three weeks to a month you should be able to retract the skin without difficulty or the embarrassment of going to have a dr tell you the basic same idea. You do still have to go to the Dr if there is persistant redness, irritation, swelling or discharge with any of these issues.

To be honest evrything the doctors prescribed me in the last 12 yrs of my life (when I was born to now) has never worked just made it inflamed and infected I have it all over my legs and around the back of my heels and it hurts a lot I stick with long pants because I have low selfasteem and confidence but when I had an asthma attack earlier this year and was rushed to hospital they prescribed me prednisolone tablets and they helped my asthma and eczema a lot so now when I get my next get a consultation I am going to ask my doctor prescribes me these x hugs for all my fellow sufferers x
