Hello. I am 23 female. I have been having this problem for a few weeks now. I have been diagnosed with SLE lupus not sure if it's due to the condition or not but I have pains in my stomach everyday and I go to the toilet a few times when I do go its very painfull some times there is blood sometimes it's not. The pain is a very sharp knife like pain I am not constipated and afterwards when I'm finished I get a sharp shooting pain feels like I can't wall properly and I can't sit its lasts for around 15 mins then the pain starts to slow down. I am really embarrassed to see my gp what could it be?

Hi, I'm 20 but when I was 15/ 16 I had stretch marks all over my thighs, bum stomach and boobs. As far as I know, they where just from growing and getting curves. They weren't very nice too look at (especially the ones on my stomach. I looked like I'd had a baby) but they did fade and now I can only find them if I'm looking for them. With any luck, your's will just fade away when you've finishd growing.

6 year old was sick early hours Saturday and had yellow bubbly runny smelly poo and keeps getting sharp pains come and go its burning her every time she goes

You should tell your parents so they can check it out, if it's bothersome and/or painful have them take you to the doctors. If you are worried about it but don't want to say anything, try calomine lotion. Good luck!

All they keep doing is giving her laxatives including Picolax which is a severe laxative which she is currently taking daily causing her to soil herself regularly. She is on a dairy free diet which does seem to help slightly but we seem no futher forward now than before!! he is querying coeliac disease, chron's and ibs. Think it is now time to get a second opinion.....

my son is 9 years old, he has very rarely gone to the toilet on his own. He soiled his pants every day 3 to 4 times a day. Last year i read a book from America and it said to treat the constipation from the back passage up. In otherwords use a suppository. For the last 12 months my son has been clean,he has a supository every 3 days and within 1/2hr he goes to the toilet on his own he gets the feeling. We are now trying the lactulose to see if he gets the feeling to go on his own but everything is very positive.

Ibuprofen worked like magic for my period pains- nothing else helped. If they are very heavy, ask your Dr about Tranexamic Acid, which you only take during your period and which cuts the flow by at least half.

I have all those symptoms almost every time I'm on my period! It's completely normal , your period and the symptoms differ each time. It never fully regulates. I usually end up having to stay off sometimes too , it can be hard to cope with. My friend has these tablets ( not birth control ) that make her periods lighter and more bearable. Maybe you should visit your doctor and see if you qualify for some too if this persists. Good luck!

Hi I'm 15, I get incredibly painful stabbing stomach pains after eating foods such as pasta or too many fatty foods, I will also find that every month I will get diarrhoea and I also feel very sick.. After having too many days off school my mum took me to the doctors where they decided to do a blood test for celiac but my doctor thought I could just have a bit of IBS, it came out negative so my mum stopped me going to the doctors which was really frustrating. As I have only had this the past few years I have tried to just cope with it but then I had a friend who is gluten intolerant that told me a blood test for celiac 9 times out of 10 is wrong and not accurate. The pains are getting gradually worse and I would really like to have an answer as I am a keen sportswoman and pasta and foods with gluten is a large part of my diet.. Is it likely I do have celiac or could there be something else wrong?

This sounds very similar to my experiences before being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. I was so frustrated with continuously feeling ill despite a negative blood test, that I kept going back to the doctors until they did more and went further with a biopsy. After 2 years of feeling much like you do, I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, and being quite sporty, was really pleased to find that I could eat lots of gluten free pasta and other foods similar to my previous diet, but free from gluten. Don't give up, if you want to feel well, go to the doctors without your mum. Sometimes we've got to take control and push ahead to get the answer we want. Wishing you all the Best.

I'm 13 and I was diagnosed with scoliosis earlier In the year, I experience severe pain I'm my lower back and the area between my shoulder blade and spine. I also get pains in my shoulder and shoulder blade. To reduce/relieve the pain I take ibuprofen, but sometimes doesn't work. I've read that your shouldn't be getting pains, so I have to get that checked up. Does anyone have any idea why I get the pains?

I'm 13 and I'm starting to get sharp pains in my stomach . The pain is on and off also I feel like I'm going to be sick. I have been trying different "cures" to get rid of the pain and nothing has helped . Should I go to the doctors or should I sleep it off ( even though the pain has caused me lack of sleep and weakness )?

I'm the same age and I've got the same problem and I've missed loads of time off school and I've been to the doctors severel times and they are reffuring me to hospital in april it could be a bactarial infection so go to your gp as soon as possible

    Thanks for replying

I have had an itchy but for about a month. I also had stomach pains. My mum, suggested all sorts of stuff, then gave me some worm-tablets. The first treatment didn't work, so we tried again, and I have had minimal itching, and less pain. I have also found dead worm looking things in my poo. The only problem is, When I had it bad, we made a doctors appointment, so now, He's probably going to test me or something. Any advice on what to say? And what to do to get rid of the blasted worms once and for all?

I got worms when I was nine abouts and ever since, they have been on and off. I would see them in my stools and feel them moving about. I told my mum and got medication, but it never fully got rid of them. Now I'm almost fourteen and I think I may still have them. I had medication probably jut under a year ago, but I've had itching since. No worms seen however. I don't get any stomach pains, just the itching for a few days every couple of months. Occasionally, I wet the bed and it's come to the point that I don't want to tell my mum again! My sister calls me wormatoid and worm butt and it really gets me down. I'm really not sure if they're still there. Anyone help me? X

My 7 year old Son also has episodes of extremely painful stomach pains however the episodes are few and far between but when they do occur it can last for a full week or 2 and only really occurs at night (every night). He can be sometimes doubled over crying in pain, however he never needs to open his bowels and his function is pretty normal during these episodes. Last time this happened we took him to A&E twice and the doctors on call it was that bad. They couldn't diagnose anything and never proceeded to investigate.

Hi. Reading this page with interest. My son has been complaining of pains in his legs for a few months, which originally I put down to growing pains (he is now 4yrs), but started walking with quite a noticeable limp, so I took him to the gp who arranged an x-ray and I have been told that he has a slightly tilted pelvis and a deranged hip (gp's words). What does this mean? How will he need to be treated?

I'm 14 and it is just a pain in the bum! I have excess hair on my arms, stomach (mainly my stomach!) and toes and sometimes it really gets me down. I just wish i had the confidence to wear a bikini or even just a top that doesn't hide my stomach area away. My arm hair doesn't annoy me as much but it is still a pain when I see my other friends who don't have it or when people comment about it.

For larger areas like arms you could always try epilating the hairs but this is VERY painful at first, though does get easier every time. This also thins the hair with every epilation. As for your tummy, that's a tricky one, you could try going to your doctors and asking for some sort of herbal supplement or anything that they might be able to suggest. xxx Hope this helped :)

Some boys and men are attracted to female body hair. If someone cannot accept you just because of your hair then they are the ones who have a problem.

Hi, I have IBS too and thought that the itchy feeling was that too, but now I think it is worms and have taken medication. For your IBS, look up FODMAP diet devised by Dr Sue Shepherd. It has been working for me. Eat lots of yogurt for your stomach if you can eat dairy, and see a gastroenterologist for more advice. Good luck!

I was born with hip dysplasia and it was not detected until I was 18months old Once detected I received treatment including traction, and a frog plaster for just under a year. To this day I still suffer with sharp pains which cause discomfort, it is getting to the point where I struggle to walk at times. I have been seeing my GP and consultant about the pains, and they have advised me that they can’t do anything until the pain is unbearable, and I can no longer walk! Is this really the case? I’m 24! It seems crazy that there is absolutely nothing anyone can do and that I just have to deal with it. It has started to affect my day to day life. Is there really nothing else I or the doctors can do?
