Yes, I was 35 and went down with HFMD. I caught it of my nephew who was just over 2 years old. Luckily I didn't have any sores in my mouth or around my face, I just hand really sore hands and feet with nasty blisters and the bottom of my feet wen bright red and then black and remained like that until the skin all peeled off. Since then I have ad really dry feet but surprisingly my brother and sister in law, mother and father, partner no any of my sister in laws family contracted it and they all had close contact at the time. My Docotr had never seen a case so bad in an adult he actually took photos of my hands and feet.

as you get older you will start to develop more and stronger Semen. But you might want to see a doctor about the swollen viens.

My son has been on movicol for over a yr and his belly is swollen. My doctor suggested limiting his portions, which I did. My son eats very heartily and doesn't take any dairy products either. I asked could my son be refered to a specialist and was told no, his doctor said I am obsessed wiv his belly being swollen m I said I was concerned. What can I do to make him listen? I hav been festering him for ages and I an getting angry now

My 9 year old had always walked on raised toes...I have to remind her a lot to walk on flat feet. I pointed it out some years ago to our GP..when I had concerns that when looking from the back, one knee area seemed more puffy or prominent if you like..slightly swollen, than the other...and that one of her ankles looked slightly askew. The GP didn't seem overly concerned. Recently though, my daughter is complaining of knee discomfort..and pain..she describes it as loose and popping... Reading this...most people are talking about girls..is there a connection? Obviously I will be taking her to the GP... I have no idea if the two are connected, but suspect they may be. I am just looking at different forums and posts about painful knees.

Yes I have both my sons have club feet my youngest having bilateral club feet my 9 year old son.is still having treatment and is due another foot release my one.year old is having the.ponseti method but his feet do slip out of position in his boot. The best way to stop the feet slipping is when.u put the.boots on lift the.foot up and put heel.in.first an then.oust it back then.strap the one strap first to hold the foot then.do all the straps to the tight. Position that u can.with out causing discomfort it can.be done . Find it easiest after they have had a bath when.the.foot is relaxed an.more flexible

my son is 12 years old and his feet have started to turn in over the last 12 months he has never had trouble with his feet before any advice please

Hi, my little niece "suffers" from turned-in feet. She is 18 months old now but has been walking since she was 10 months old! She has always been clumsy walking because of it and I guess this is where she suffers- tripping, falling downstairs a couple of times! When she got shoes...relatively recently...this has helped the clumsiness but she still walks with inturned feet. I am worried but her mum has been told by a friend to leave it till she's older!!! But surely is she damaging her feet...legs...ankles? Thanks in advance!

I'm 13 years old and I've always walked on my tippytoes. My older sister did it when she was little and still walks funny at sixteen. My mother told me she did it as a child but had grown out of it by my age. My parents took me to a physical therapist when I was eight and I graduated from it when I was nine. It did nothing for me at all. I also have night splits for my feet but they hurt so much that I can't fall asleep with them on. I can't walk flat foot before I've been up and walking around for three to four hours and I can't sit on the ground with my feet straight out in front of me. I have found that balancing on one foot with the others heel resting on my toes helps a little. The only time that my feet are a problem is when I'm doing athletic activities. I can't run flatfoot because my legs won't stretch far enough away from each other to take the long strides needed.

    Adult ignored. Classic!

Thank you everyone for telling your stories, I have my son reading through these posts, to get through his stubbornness. My son has bilateral club feet and has had several surgeries. It’s been four years since his last, and he does not want to wear braces to stretch his Achilles tendon, which cannot be stretches any more by surgery. His doctor told him he will be tip toeing if he doesn’t correct his feet now.
