get a vacuum then vacuum the hair in bits now the nit eggs get a nit comb wash your hair and get lots of conditioner and leave it in then get the nit comb and scrape the nit eggs out do this every 2 days until they are all gone you ca check if they are gone with a nit comb brushing through the hair to see no nits and do not forget to wipe the comb! other wise you will just be putting the eggs back in your hair :)
Hi phoebe , well I have a long hair and I keep having head lice , this year I had it 3 times ! I had tons of nits in my hair. U don't need expensive treatment to get rid of lice and nits, ill tell u what I do when ever I get lice I put vinger in my hair then I cover it with shower cap and I let it overnight then in the morning ill remove the shower cap and go stright to the shower to wash my hair with regural shampo , u won't believe the amount of bugs falling off my hair then I comb my hair while in the shower for 20 minutes then ill blow dry my hair . After that comes the nit picking step, since I have no one to pick through my hair , ill put a white sheet on the floor and sit on it combing my hair down removing all the nits out, repeat daily for 2 weeks and u will be lice free. And don't be embarressed ! Its very common having lice. And when ppl ask me I say yes I have lice . Nothing to be ashamed off.
hi, im 13 and ive had nits for at least 6/7 years! we can not afford the clinic, and everytime i go onto the hair buddy website it says that its currently offline, ive tried so many different solutions, but none work!! is there any suggestions please?? and would it be possible to use a normal vaccume rather than the one off of the hairbuddy site! PLEASE HELP!xxxxxx
I am 13, i have got nits and i am paranoid that people are going to see them or even my teachers when they are standing behind me, i have tried so many lotions and potions and recently it has just got really bad i can feel where they have fed on my blood and that, it is like a big spot. I am also a gymnast so when my gymnastic coach asks to do my hair i wont let her and i have to find an exuse really quickly, it is really awkward.
Why not try a great product available at www.hairbuddy.co.uk it is a type of comb and attaches to any vacuum and just sucks up the lice.

We have had a constant out break of nits at school over the past year could someone please let me know if tea tree oil works and the repellent spray or is it a complete waste of money?
Hi I'm a mum with a 3 year old and 7 year old daughters we all have long hair and have suffered with headlice on and off for about 3 years. After trying all sorts of lotions etc (many smelled really awful and this wasn't good for my girls as one has croup) I found the following worked. Tell friends, family and school chums that you have lice and that everyone should be treated. I treated us all with Hedrin once that you can get at the chemist without prescription. I also treated all the combs and brushes with one of the horrid selling lotion treatments for lice. I treated us all again about 7-10 days later. We brush our hair daily and once a week I inspect our hair with a lice comb. We do not share our brushes with one another ever now. We tie our hair back when we are in school or playing closely. The girls use a tea tree shampoo and conditioner. I can honestly say that after a lot of trial and error this has finally worked and we have been nit free for 3 months now.
My daughter caught headlice in year 2(she starts secondary school in sept)and it was so bad she had to be sent home from school, i have tried evrything from hedrin to lyclear to combing with conditioner for a month NOTHING works! and i am STILL trying! i even bought "the hair buddy", it is awkward to use and the headlice get stuck in the filter. i found the website for the clinic-it is called "the hair force" which is featured in the programme but it is VERY expensive, for average infestations, it costs £150 and for heavy/longterm infestations it costs up to £400!!! i think i will start to save my pennies because this IS the last resort and might be the only thing that is going to work for my daughter and me. if anybody has any other ideas(shaving her head is not an option) ha ha
