Video

11 year old Jessica comes to see Dr Dawn with an embarrassing case of warts. The warts which started on her hands, are now spreading to her shoulder, knees, elbows and lip line. Jessica’s mum is lost for a solution, as the warts have withstood freezing on 5 occasions and every available cream. Dr Dawn refers Jessica to specialist dermatologist, Dr Russell Emerson, who scrapes off the warts under local anaesthetic. Jessica marvels Dr Dawn with her wart-free hands and new-found confidence.

I've had a wart on my hand for 26 years. So i understand the upset it causes. I have tried Bazuka, filing, tape, leaving it, cryotherapy, freeze treatments (x6) and am now on a pen treatment.Apart from surgery i not sure this will be beaten.

I've had a wart on my right hand on my index finger, i've had it for 5 years now, i'm 17 and it's embarressing. at first it was just a small wart about the size of a seed and now it's has increased to what looks like about 10 seed looking warts in one space creating a massive one. A few others have spread to the other side of that finger, 2 of my knuckles and the top of my thumb, i suck my thumb and i know this isn't helping at all. they won't go, i had tried everything from using duct tape - to freezing - to filing it. nothing is working and i don't know what to do! my doctor just says it'll go eventually but i am getting sick of them now. Please help me!

Hi, I'm 14 and have these crusty warts on the underneath of my feet, I have had them for about 1 year now and have been to my doctors who gave me a wart paint containing salactol. I have used it and they have shrunk a tiny bit, they are now starting to really bother me as they sometimes hurt and restrict me from doing activities barefoot, not to mention the embarrassment. Any Advice? Thanks xx

I had one before just try not to lick or wet it and mine eventually just went. Also dont try to file it or scrape it off yourself as when i did there was a lot of blood and it took even longer to heal.
