11 year old Jessica comes to see Dr Dawn with an embarrassing case of warts. The warts which started on her hands, are now spreading to her shoulder, knees, elbows and lip line. Jessica’s mum is lost for a solution, as the warts have withstood freezing on 5 occasions and every available cream. Dr Dawn refers Jessica to specialist dermatologist, Dr Russell Emerson, who scrapes off the warts under local anaesthetic. Jessica marvels Dr Dawn with her wart-free hands and new-found confidence.

My 15 year old son has had warts on his hands and feet since the age of 4. I have taken him to GP on numerous occassions and was always told that it is viral and they would go non their own. I was told not to go back as i was making a nuisance of myself. He was finally referred to Dermatolgy at the age of 11. They tries Ionto, cryotherapy and all sorts of weird and wonderful but useless remedies. at the age of 13 he had shingles because ot the stress of being bullied in school because oh his warts. He finally had a diagnosis in Jan 13 of CD4 T cell Deficiency and is going for a bone marrow transplant early this summer. The warts arestill spreading and he now has them in his mouth and lips.

I'm 15 & I've been dealing with warts for over 5 to 4 years. I've been treating them for over 3 years now. Freezing. But I recently found out there is laser treatment. I just hope it works. I'm very self concious about them. They are on my left hand (6) & I have about a dozen on my ankle & I believe I have one growing on my lip. I am very scared that this will stop me from getting to be exposed with my friends & dances & proms. I believe that this is what is holding me back. Always having to cover my hands up with long sleeves & having to lie to others if they see em that there some burns that I got. I can't even enjoy the summer. Like every time I hear that summer is coming I roll my eyes and say " great now Ill have to hide extra more." . I really need anyone's help.

Hi did you apply the sap daily and did you cover them with tape or just leave them open to the air. My granddaughter has many on her hands and ankle so would be giving it a go.

I cured my sons warts with the white juice found in dandelion stalks. His cure took 2 weeks to rid him of about 100 warts, some cracked and bleeding.

I've had a wart on my hand for 26 years. So i understand the upset it causes. I have tried Bazuka, filing, tape, leaving it, cryotherapy, freeze treatments (x6) and am now on a pen treatment.Apart from surgery i not sure this will be beaten.

I've had a wart on my right hand on my index finger, i've had it for 5 years now, i'm 17 and it's embarressing. at first it was just a small wart about the size of a seed and now it's has increased to what looks like about 10 seed looking warts in one space creating a massive one. A few others have spread to the other side of that finger, 2 of my knuckles and the top of my thumb, i suck my thumb and i know this isn't helping at all. they won't go, i had tried everything from using duct tape - to freezing - to filing it. nothing is working and i don't know what to do! my doctor just says it'll go eventually but i am getting sick of them now. Please help me!
